On Saturday 12th December 2020 some members of the Jubilate Choir, accompanied by Janet Haney, sang carols for the residents of the Coloma Court Care Home, Coney Hall. Our coming to sing to them was much appreciated by the residents who had not had visitors for months, so it was a really heart-warming experience. Some of us even managed a walk in the beautiful surroundings.

Our summer workshop planned for July 2020 had to be cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Undeterred, some of us came together online (using Zoom) to sing choruses from Mendelssohn's Elijah. We were conducted by Janet Haney and accompanied by Peter Bailey at the piano. We were also joined by bass soloist Graeme Danby.

On 15th September 2019 we took part in the Flower Festival at St John the Evangelist Church, Shirley, reprising some of the songs from our Summer Concert.

Members of the choir attended John Rutter's "Come and sing day" on 14th September 2019 at St Nicholas' Curch, Sevenoaks. We sang a mixture of old favourites, traditional folk songs from the British Isles, and recent compositions by the master himself. A most enjoyable day.

At our summer workshop on 30th June 2018 we sang from two contrasting settings of Gloria, by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) and John Rutter (b. 1945). The workshop was led by Janet Haney and Susan Waters, seen here with soprano soloist Mary Walker.

On 7th May 2017 some of us sang Mozart's requiem with the Really Big Chorus in the Royal Albert Hall. Three of the Jubilate ladies are pictured here relaxing between rehearsal and performance.

Each December Jubilate Choir sings Christmas songs and carols to raise money for charity. This photo is of us entertaining shoppers at the Whitgift Centre, Croydon. For several years our chosen charity has been Croydon Vision (Croydon Voluntary Association for the Blind).

Our summer concert in 2015, "Around the World in Song", featured music from Scandinavia, Europe, Asia, Australasia and America. Here we see soloists Beibei Wang (soprano) and Violetta Gawara (mezzo soprano) singing the Flower Duet from Lakmé by Delibes.

Choir members sang at the Croydon Heritage Festival in June 2015. Conducted by Janet Haney, our repertoire featured songs from around the world - Sweden, Pakistan, Belgium and Iceland. The last testing our grasp of Icelandic pronunciation! Apparently rolling your 'r's is essential.

On a boiling hot day in July 2013 a group of us, accompanied and led by Janet Haney performed songs from the British Isles at The Dizzy's Family Festival in the Croydon Road Recreation Ground, Beckenham. This was enthusiastically applauded by the audience.

In July 2013 the chance to sing Verdi's Requiem as part of The Really Big Chorus at the Albert Hall was taken up by some members of the choir who enjoyed the musical challenge and the day out together.
